the challenge

Rolling out POS terminals involves sales teams, field agents travelling to merchants' stores, and a lot of physical devices. Teams need to see who is selling what, where agents are installing, and where each machine is.

what it does

  • Sales management

Manage the sales side of POS rollout in one place.

  • Field agents

Coordinate the agents who visit merchants' stores to install POS terminals.

  • POS machine tracking

Keep track of every POS device across its journey.

  • Its own users

This portal has its own user management, separate from the back-office platform.

what I did

  • Built it as a tenant portal that is deployed separately from the back-office platform but opens from its sidebar.
  • Built the portal's own user management, separate from the back-office platform.
  • Built with the same React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and Zustand stack as the back-office platform.

impact

  • Shipped as an independently deployed portal alongside the back-office platform.
  • Sales, field agents and POS devices managed in one portal.
